What measurements are useful for a stump grinding quote?

Can the grinder reach my stump?
Send a photo of the route from the driveway to the stump and measure the narrowest clear opening, including gates. Mention steps, slopes, soft ground and tight turns. Wendall can check access before arranging the work; a narrow gate alone does not tell us whether the whole route is suitable.
How deep will the stump be ground?
Discuss the depth needed for your intended use before accepting a quote. A lawn, a new planting hole and a construction project can have different requirements. Do not assume grinding removes every root or leaves the area ready for building.
What happens to the grindings and the space afterwards?
Grinding leaves a mixture of wood chips and soil. Agree what will happen to this material and whether any removal or follow-on work is included in the quote. If you want to replant or lawn the area, mention this when enquiring so preparation can be discussed.
